Mesotherapy Los Angeles Pointers

Los Angeles is not exactly the “healthiest” city in the country — the air can still be pretty bad — but there is no denying the fact that people from all over California consider going to LA when seeking medical help. And while cellulite is not really life-threatening, people still look for ways to get rid of it by any means necessary. Mesotherapy is up around the top of the list, owing to its convenience and cost-effectiveness.

This treatment is one of the newer cellulite treatment methods in the country, originating in Europe. This treatment involves sessions with a therapist, who uses needles to inject a special fat-burning solution into cellulite-ridden areas of the body. This treatment provides cellulite sufferers with a way to reduce cellulite without having to make drastic lifestyle changes.

This treatment is slowly making it is way into mainstream popularity, so it gets easier and easier to find a therapist around the country. But being a relatively new treatment, it can still get tricky when finding one in your own town. So when you are planning to go to LA to find a therapist, here are a few things to consider.

#1 – Is LA really your best choice? LA would be a great choice if you lived within a few hours away, but otherwise the travel time might make the entire idea unappealing.

#2 – What is your budget? There are quite a few mesotherapists practicing in LA, but their rates may vary. A therapist living in or around Beverly Hills or Hollywood, for instance, would very likely charge a much higher rate than a therapist practicing in a less affluent neighborhood.

#3 – Are you willing to undergo several sessions? This treatment almost never produces visible results after only one session — it takes at least a few weeks before cellulite trouble spots begin to shrink and look much better. If you are planning to travel to LA every now and then for your scheduled this sessions, be sure to factor in travel costs and time.

This treatment is an attractive treatment because it is halfway between home treatments (diet, exercise, massage, body wraps, etc.) and more drastic treatment measures (liposuction and surgery). It is relatively painless, save for a little tightness and pins-and-needles early on, and it does not require any special diets or exercise regimens to get results.

Of course, it is a much better idea to approach your cellulite problem on all sides. If you really want to get rid of those lumps of fat under your skin, settle into a healthier diet, a comprehensive exercise regimen that includes cardiovascular, interval, and strength training, and other methods that fit your lifestyle (such as a weekend massage or body wrap). That way your trips to LA for your extra sessions will yield even better results.

LA is a good place to get this treatment, especially if you live in the city itself. The only real consideration you will have to make is travel time, the cost, and the number of this treatment sessions you will need to take. A quick Google search should net you a few practitioners you can call or e-mail before committing.

Although it can be responsible for causing dreadful physical and emotional harm, it is curable in many cases, and the earlier it is treated the more chance there is of a full recovery. There are statistics which indicate that 80% of people who have been affected by anorexia can make a complete recovery if given the correct professional counselling and emotional help and support from close family members.

If you suspect a loved one or a member of your family is developing any of the symptoms of anorexia, it is important to try and get help immediately before any lasting damage can be done. It is most common in teenage girls, and while it is widely believed that anorexics do not eat, this is completely untrue. The belief that their body is fat and ugly means that the sufferer will stop eating anything which they can believe will make them fat, and will often turn to vegetarianism as a first sign. They will eat such a small amount to keep alive, but they will eat something.

There is also a possibility of the occasional binge and purge, where they will eat an excessive amount of food and then rid themselves of it immediately afterwards, either by making themselves sick or the use of laxatives. This is, however, behaviour more common in bulimia. The two diseases are often confused, and though they indicate the same underlying problems of low self-worth and belief, they are quite different in other ways.

Anyone suffering from anorexia will lose weight extremely quickly, and therefore it ought to be quite easy to identify. If a member of your family starts to display any of these signs, then you are strongly advised to seek medical help as soon as possible. They may possibly try to hide this from you by wearing baggy clothes, and try to avoid eating out at family social occasions so that they don’t put themselves into an awkward position.

A full recovery is possible, and the earlier that the treatment is implemented the better, so if you have any worries at all it is definitely worth investigating. You can talk to your doctor about it if you have any concerns, and he will be able to advise you of the best course of action to take.

Don’t Let Obesity Get on You

Kaushal Shah finds himself in the list of people who have been advised by Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala to get a surgery called Sleeve Gastrectomy. Kaushal had attracted attention all his life, not because he was an eminent personality but due to his obesity. He had been overweight for almost his entire life. He was plump as a kid and by the time he hit his teens, Kaushal scaled up to be a 100 kilos. With each passing year he became more and more conscious about his weight and started to withdraw from society. By the year 2003 he finally decided to seek medical help. With doctors blaming his condition on satiety issues, for which there exist no tests, Kaushal began facing serious issues in his personal as well as professional life.

Kaushal wound up his business as it required him to travel, which he could not cope with. The plane seats felt small and uncomfortable as they were not able to accommodate his large frame. A simple trip got complicated for Kaushal as he struggled with questions like how much would he be required to walk? How many steps would he have to take? Would an elevator be available? He then started to look for other business opportunities as he was confined to his room. Following up with debtors and recovering money for his friend was one of the tasks he took up to earn a livelihood. 2007 and 2008 marked the toughest years for Kaushal as he stayed in his room with all the curtains drawn and simply stayed put. He partnered with a friend and worked from home while his friends and family constantly ensured that he did not spiral out of control.

After consulting a host of doctors and minimal results Kaushal came in contact with Dr.Muffazal Lakdawala who advised him to go for the advanced surgery that would reduce his weight and lessen the risk of complications that could arise given his condition. The surgery would reduce the size of his stomach to 15% of its original size by the surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach. He went in for the surgery in February 2009 when his weight was almost 250 kilos. Post surgery his weight dropped to 192 kilos and he now ventures out of his room. He has now pulled back the curtains of his room and started going for an obesity support group, all thanks to the timely advice of Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala.

Muffazal Lakdawala, the Founder and Director of CODS created a support centre to battle the cause of obesity. Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala is also the Founder member of IFSO which has increased the visibility of Asian surgical fraternity.
